Worship Schedule – Sunday 9:00 am & 11:00 am worship
St. John’s Lutheran Church is blessed to have some wonderful musicians from the Coachella valley. We have two distinct musical styles in our worship services; both services include communion.
Our 9:00 am Worship is a traditional Lutheran liturgical setting with hymns accompanied by Patrick Karst on the organ. Laura Stave, a gifted vocalist, is cantor and also leads our choir, The Celebration Singers.
The 11:oo am Worship is a more contemporary, “lighter” liturgy with the emphasis on uplifting music, the Word, prayer and Holy Communion each Sunday. The service features a small band with Laura Stave bringing the vocal enrichment to the service.
Fellowship hour takes place between services, as well as Adult Forum or Confirmation class options. Midweek services are held during the season of Lent, together with other special worship gatherings.
Kids’ Church begins in our Ministry Center, Room 108 at 11:00 am. The kids later return to the sanctuary for communion. Child-care is available as needed in the nursery at the west end of the church. One-way glass windows and speakers make possible to both see and hear the worship service.
