“Friends in Faith”

St. John’s youth group is all about fun, faith and service. We are active youth ministry that focuses on community service and outreach. We offer a fun, safe environment for middle and high school youth to learn and grow in Christ. Our youth group is a place where you can hang out, have fun with friends and be yourself without worrying about judgment or peer pressure. We believe that God has given us all unique gifts and has a plan for each young life, so we offer programs to help guide kids in their faith and live out God’s will. Our “Friends in Faith” have the opportunity to choose from a variety of monthly activities including weekly Bible studies, fun outings, community service events, and food & fun nights. Kids 4 Christ

Kids 4 Christ is our Sunday school program designed for kids in grades 1-5. We offer weekly lessons that teach children about the Bible and help them to learn to apply it to their daily lives. Our weekly lessons include Bible studies, music, crafts and fun, and Bible-friendly games. Kids 4 Christ meet Sundays at 11am. We also host special public events to give the kids an opportunity to have fun and share their faith with the community. Check out our calendar for upcoming lessons and events.

Little Lutherans

“Little Lutherans” are children ages birth through Kindergarten who gather in our nursery every Sunday at 9 and 11 am. We offer quality child care by Celebrity Sitters which includes age appropriate activities and introductory Bible lessons to help plant those little seeds of faith.

Roll the Soul

Roll the Soul is our junior puppet ministry. All kids k-5 are welcome to participate and are mentored by youth group members to prepare them for service with Rock the Flock. Roll the Soul performs once monthly for the congregation of St. John’s.

Rock the Flock

Rock the Flock is a dynamic youth ministry that provides a way for youth to share their faith in the community. This lively puppet group performs hilarious Christian parodies of Top 40, pop and classic rock songs. Rock the Flock has a great time sharing the Word through monthly performances for the congregation and at the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission. The even took their act to the streets and won the 2nd place humor trophy at the 2009 Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade! Check out our video link to see some of their awesome performances.
