Missions
St. John’s has been serving the Coachella Valley communities for 40 years, supporting local ministries such as the F.I.N.D. (Food In Need of Distribution) Program, and the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission. St. John’s is in partnership with the 10,657 Lutheran congregations, 28 Lutheran colleges and universities, 9 seminaries, 450 worldwide missionaries, and one of the largest non-profit social service networks in the U.S., Lutheran World Relief. All ministries are a part of the 5 million member Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
To Know Christ and To Make Christ Known
To share the good news of Jesus Christ with all who come within our sphere of influence. We do this through weekly worship services of Word and Sacrament, Christian education in Sunday school classes, weekly Bible studies and small groups. Prayer, caring, and sharing extend our growth with our Lord and each other.
We are also committed to reaching out with helping hands to the poor, the hungry, the homeless, and the sick of the Coachella Valley.
